Review Submission Terms

These terms apply when you submit a review, rating, photo, or video through WiserReview. They are written for shoppers, not businesses — so we have kept them short and in plain English.

Effective Date: July 20, 2026·Last Updated: July 20, 2026·Tatvam Cloud Solutions, Inc

The short version

  • You still own your review and your photos. Nothing here transfers ownership.
  • You give the store you reviewed, and WiserReview, permission to publish and re-use your review — including in the store's marketing emails and ads — with attribution.
  • Your review will be public, and may appear in Google search results.
  • You can edit or remove your review at any time, and that permission stops for anything published after that.
  • Only submit content that is genuinely yours and genuinely your own experience.

This summary is for convenience only. The sections below are the terms that apply.

1. Who These Terms Apply To

WiserReview is a review platform operated by Tatvam Cloud Solutions, Inc (“WiserReview”, “we”, “us”). Businesses that use WiserReview to collect reviews are referred to as “merchants”.

These terms apply to you when you submit a review, star rating, written feedback, question, answer, photo, or video (together, “your content”) through any WiserReview form, widget, email request, or SMS request.

You must be at least 16 years old — or the minimum age required in your country to agree to terms like these — to submit a review. If you are submitting on behalf of a business, our Terms & Conditions also apply.

2. You Keep Ownership

You keep all rights you already have in your content. Submitting a review does not transfer ownership or copyright to WiserReview or to the merchant.

What you give instead is permission to use it — described in the next section.

3. The Permission You Give

When you submit your content, you grant the following two permissions. Both are worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and free of any obligation to pay you.

(a) To WiserReview

A sublicensable and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, display, translate and distribute your content in order to operate our service — including displaying it on merchant storefronts, on WiserReview public store profile pages, and in feeds we send to search engines and shopping platforms on a merchant's behalf. “Adapt” here means formatting, resizing, cropping, translating, and moderating. It does not mean changing the meaning of what you wrote.

(b) To the merchant you reviewed

A sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, display and distribute your content in connection with marketing and promoting that merchant's own products and store. This expressly includes:

  • Their website, product pages, and landing pages
  • Email marketing and newsletters
  • Social media posts and organic content
  • Paid advertising, including product listings and shopping ads
  • Printed and in-store materials

Limits on both permissions

  • Your content must be presented as a customer review, attributed to you as it appears on your review — not rewritten or presented as the business's own words.
  • It must not be edited in a way that changes the meaning of your review, or that makes a negative review look positive.
  • It must not be used to suggest you endorse a different product, brand, or company than the one you reviewed.
  • It must not be sold, licensed, or supplied to an unrelated third party as stock content.

4. Photos and Videos

If you upload a photo or video, the permissions in section 3 apply to it in the same way as to your written review.

  • If you appear in the photo or video, you also consent to your image being shown as part of that content, in the same places and for the same purposes.
  • If anyone else appears in it, you confirm you have their permission — and, if they are a child, the permission of their parent or guardian.
  • If the photo or video was taken by someone else, you confirm you have their permission to submit it.

To the extent the law allows, you agree that your content may be cropped, resized, or displayed alongside other reviews without additional credit beyond the name shown on your review. Where moral rights cannot be waived in your country, you consent to these uses rather than waiving those rights. This does not affect your ownership.

5. What You Promise Us

When you submit content, you confirm that:

  • The review, photos, and videos are your own — or you have permission to submit them and to grant the permissions described in section 3.
  • Submitting them does not breach anyone else's rights, including copyright, privacy, image or publicity rights, or any agreement you are bound by.
  • Your review reflects your genuine experience of the product or store, and would be useful to another shopper.
  • You have disclosed any payment, free product, discount, or personal relationship with the merchant that might affect how your review is read.
  • Your content follows our Review Policy and Fake Review Policy, and — where your review is shared with Google — Google's Product Ratings policies.

Our full content standards are in our Review Policy and Fake Review Policy.

6. Where Your Review Appears

Reviews submitted through WiserReview are public. Depending on the merchant's settings, yours may appear in any of the following places.

The merchant's website and store

In review widgets, product pages, carousels, badges and pop-ups on the store you bought from.

The merchant's marketing

Email campaigns, social media posts, and advertising — always attributed as a customer review, never rewritten as the merchant's own copy.

WiserReview public store profiles

Pages such as wiserreview.com/store/example-store, which are public and can appear in search engine results.

Search engines and shopping platforms

Where the merchant has enabled it, reviews are shared with services such as Google Product Ratings and Google Shopping.

Other stores selling the same product

Only where the merchant has enabled review syndication for a shared product. Your review stays attached to the product it was written about.

The name shown on your review is the name you enter on the form, which many merchants shorten (for example, “Sarah M.”). Your email address is never published. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your personal data.

7. Editing, Removing, or Withdrawing Your Review

You can ask us to edit or remove your review at any time, for any reason, by emailing [email protected] from the address you used to submit it. You do not need a WiserReview account, and you do not need to give a reason.

What happens when you remove it

  • Both permissions in section 3 end for any future use. The merchant may not include your content in new marketing after that point.
  • Your review is removed from the merchant's store, from WiserReview public store profiles, and from any syndication feed at the next update.
  • Material that was already published or sent before removal — for example, an email that has already gone out, or a printed catalogue already produced — is not affected, because it cannot be recalled. We will ask the merchant to remove your content from any material still in circulation that they control.

Where your review has been shared with a third-party platform such as Google, removal on their side depends on their own update schedule. We send the removal in our next feed; how quickly it takes effect is controlled by that platform.

8. Responsibility for Your Content

You are responsible for the content you submit. If someone brings a claim against WiserReview or against the merchant because your content infringed their rights — for example, a photo you did not have the right to use — you are responsible for that claim to the extent it results from you breaking a promise in section 5.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your own country, which apply regardless of what these terms say.

9. Moderation and Enforcement

We may remove or refuse to publish content that breaks these terms, our Review Policy, or the law. Merchants cannot delete or hide a genuine negative review — see the Review Policy for exactly what merchants can and cannot do.

If you believe a review on WiserReview infringes your rights, is defamatory, or contains your personal information, you can report it — see Reporting and Takedown in our Review Policy, or email [email protected].

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your review is the version in effect on the day you submitted it. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above.

11. Contact

Tatvam Cloud Solutions, Inc

[email protected]

Use this address to remove or edit a review, report content or a rights infringement, or ask a question. Please put the reason in the subject line so we can route it quickly — for example:

  • “Remove my review”
  • “Report a review”
  • “Copyright / rights complaint”

These terms are governed by the law stated in our Terms & Conditions. Nothing in them removes rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
