Be Your Bag is an Italian brand of customisable handbags made in Genoa, run by Giacomo Pieri. The catalog is built around a small set of core silhouettes that a buyer can spec in her own colours, initials and details: the Maxi bag, Portofino, Bauletto 20, Be-One Zainetto, Be-One Bauletto Piccolo and the Borsa con Charm. Production runs out of the family laboratorio that grew out of Marco Pieri Snc, a historic Genovese workshop with 40+ years of leather-and-technical-fabric bag making behind it. The brand tagline, "Sii la tua borsa", does the work: every bag that ships is configured by the buyer before the artisans cut a single piece. 5,000+ Judge.me reviews to move, all in Italian
Years of Italian-language reviews were sitting in Judge.me on every Maxi, Portofino, Bauletto and Be-One. Any migration had to bring the full history across with star ratings, written feedback in Italian, dates and reviewer identifiers intact.
WooCommerce install, no room for a custom build
The store runs WordPress with WooCommerce and a full stack of plugins for shipping, loyalty programme and multi-currency checks. The replacement review widget had to sit on PDPs without fighting any of it.
Customisable bags, where photos sell the next order
A Maxi bag configured in a specific colour, with specific initials and specific hardware, is a different object from the studio sample. The team wanted customer-submitted photos on reviews so the next buyer could see how other women carry the bag before spec'ing her own.
