Fera review 2026: the $9 plan, the order cap, the catch
Fera is a 4.8-rated product review app with seven paid plans from $9 to $999, no free plan, and two meters on Shopify: review requests and orders. What each plan buys, where the limits bite, what recent reviewers say, and how it stacks up against Judge.me, Loox, and the one-meter option at $19.

Fera is a $9-a-month product review app with a 4.8 on the Shopify App Store, and the reviews that outrank it on Google disagree on the basics.
Whether it has a free plan, whether incentives are gated, and what the price meter counts all get different answers depending on the page you land on.
I read Fera’s pricing page, its plan-comparison tables, the Shopify listing’s plan cards, and its last three months of merchant reviews to settle those, then wrote down what a store should check before paying.
I run WiserReview, a product-review tool that competes with Fera, so this review carries that bias and confines it to one section near the end.
Everything below was verified against fera.ai and the Shopify App Store on September 8, 2026.
Fera review: the verdict in one table
Fera is worth $9 to $29 a month for a Shopify or Wix store that wants photo and video reviews and marketplace imports, provided the store checks both usage meters first.
| Best for | Shopify and Wix stores under 2,000 orders a month that want media-first reviews and Etsy, AliExpress, Google, or Facebook imports |
| Price | $9 to $999 a month on seven plans, 20% to 30% less on yearly billing, no free plan, free trial on every plan (60 days on Shopify) |
| Rating | 4.8 from 2,027 Shopify App Store reviews, 95% five-star, 2% one-star |
| Biggest strength | Photos and videos at the top of every widget, plus incentives and imports on the $9 plan |
| Biggest catch | Two meters on Shopify (review requests and orders), storage caps by plan, and a $29 floor on BigCommerce, Magento, and custom stores |
| Skip it if | You need a free plan, Google Seller Ratings for ads, or one price across several platforms |
One meter, $19 for 1,000 requests
WiserReview counts review requests only: no orders cap, no storage tiers, and both Google star types on every plan, per workspace.

Fera collects text, photo, and video reviews after purchase, displays them in widgets on product and store pages, and imports reviews a brand already has on Etsy, AliExpress, Google, and Facebook.
Fera Commerce Inc launched it on the Shopify App Store on June 22, 2017 and lists Sheridan, Wyoming as its base. It also runs on Wix and BigCommerce, with Magento and custom stores supported from the Small plan up.

The homepage leads with “Reviews they trust, results you’ll love” and builds the pitch on three ideas: media at the top of the widget, reviews from other platforms with a link back to the source, and reviewer verification.
Around that core sit automatic email and SMS requests, discount, loyalty-point, and cash-back incentives, AI moderation, AI reply drafts, a Q&A widget, and Google and Facebook review sync.
How much does Fera cost in 2026?
Fera costs $9 to $999 a month across seven plans, with no free plan and a trial on each. The Shopify listing adds an orders cap the pricing page omits.

| Plan | Monthly / yearly | Review requests | Media storage | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Startup | $9 / $7 | 100 a month | 100MB | All widgets, incentives, imports, AI moderation, basic customization; Fera branding stays on |
| Small | $29 / $19 | 1,000 a month | 1GB | AI replies, branding removed, product groups, custom email domains, multi-tier incentives, multi-store management |
| Medium | $99 / $69 | 10,000 a month | 10GB | Advanced customization, multi-store sync, audit trails |
| Semi-large | $199 / $139 | 25,000 a month | 50GB | All features |
| Large | $299 / $199 | 50,000 a month | 100GB | Storage only |
| X-Large | $599 / $449 | 200,000 a month | 500GB | Storage only |
| Enterprise | $999 / $699 | 500,000 a month | 1TB | SLA and MSA, custom security rules |
The pricing page opens in its yearly view, so the first numbers you see are $7, $19, $69, and $139. Toggle to monthly for the $9, $29, $99, and $199 most merchants quote.
Two meters on Shopify
The pricing page counts one thing, review requests. The Shopify listing’s plan cards count two: Startup allows up to 200 orders a month, Small up to 2,000, Medium up to 20,000, alongside 2, 3, and 5 user seats.
A Shopify store is therefore measured on requests and on orders, and the first limit it hits is the one that moves it up a plan.
Storage as a tier
Media caps at 100MB on Startup and 1GB on Small. Fera’s best feature is video at the top of the widget, and video files are large, so the plan that makes them a strength also caps how many you keep.
The platform floor
The page’s own note reads: “The minimum required plan for BigCommerce, Magento, and Custom Stores is Small $29/mo or above.” The $9 price is a Shopify and Wix price.
The free plan that’s gone
Older guides, including one on this site, describe a 10-request free plan. As of September 2026 the pricing page lists no free plan.
The Shopify listing reads “From $9/month. Free trial available,” with a 60-day trial on each plan card.

What do you get at each Fera tier?
Fera’s plan-comparison tables put nearly every feature on the $9 plan and reserve branding removal, product groups, AI replies, multi-store tools, and audit trails for higher tiers.
Collection
Automatic review requests go out by email on every plan, with SMS requests as the newest addition, follow-up messages, message customization, and a QR path through the Q&A widget. Custom email domains start at Small.
Incentives are the surprise. Discount, loyalty-point, and cash-back rewards for submissions are on Startup, with multi-tier incentives from Small. Loyalty points and cash-back run through partner apps, which the page flags with an asterisk.
Display
Every plan carries the full widget set: product reviews, Q&A, testimonial carousels, media galleries, product and store rating badges, and ratings in search results. What scales is customization depth: basic at $9, intermediate at $29, advanced at $99.
Imports and verification
Google and Facebook review sync are on every plan, and the homepage adds Etsy, AliExpress, and CSV imports with a link back to the original source. Shopper verification and a content approval system are on every plan too.
AI and management
AI moderation filters spam and low-quality submissions from $9. AI reply drafts, product groups, and multi-store management start at $29; multi-store sync and audit trails at $99; SLA, MSA, and custom security rules at $999.
What does Fera get right?
Fera’s strengths sit in the parts of the review job that most $9 apps leave out: media, imports, and incentives, all from the entry plan.
Media-first widgets. Customer photos and videos sit at the top of the review widget and in a dedicated gallery, on every plan, with storage as the only thing that scales.
Reviews from wherever you sold first. A brand moving from Etsy or AliExpress arrives with its reviews and a source link on each. For that store, the import alone justifies the app.
Incentives without an upgrade. Discounts and reward integrations for submissions are on Startup. Several of the reviews that outrank this one say incentives are gated to $99 or above; the pricing page says otherwise.
Support that gets named. June 2026 reviewers credit named support staff with migrating reviews and sending a backup CSV. Fera also replies publicly to critical reviews.
A wide widget set for $9. Q&A, testimonial carousels, media galleries, store rating badges, and search-result ratings are all on Startup. The gates are customization, branding, and storage.
What should you watch before paying?
Most of Fera’s weaknesses show up on the invoice rather than in the feature list, which is why the pricing page deserves a slower read than the homepage.
The orders cap. A store that sends few requests but processes 2,001 orders leaves Small for Medium at $99, with 900 requests unused.
Storage. Video reviews are the point of Fera, and 100MB holds a handful of them.
The platform floor. BigCommerce, Magento, and custom stores start at $29.
No free plan. Judge.me keeps a Forever Free plan on Shopify and Loox now has a free Beginner tier up to 500 orders. Fera trades that for a 60-day trial.
No Google Seller Ratings. Ratings in search results and Google Shopping are there; the ads-side Google Seller Ratings feed isn’t listed on any plan.
What happens at the limit. One August 2026 review says storefront widgets went dark when an email quota was reached. Fera’s reply is quoted below; either way, read the limit notifications when they arrive.

What do Fera merchants say?
Fera holds a 4.8 from 2,027 Shopify reviews, 95% five-star and 2% one-star. Summer 2026 reviews praise setup speed and support; one August review disputes how usage limits were enforced.
The praise. A July 2026 reviewer four months in said Fera “looks great on our Shopify store” and singled out the photo review feature. A June reviewer credited support with moving reviews from a previous store, backup CSV included.
The dispute. On August 31, 2026, a paying subscriber wrote that Fera hid the storefront review widgets after an outgoing email quota was reached and that support asked for an upgrade to restore them.
Fera’s reply, same day. The company said usage-limit notifications were shown but “weren’t clear enough,” refunded the four months in question, exported the reviewer’s reviews, and is reviewing how it communicates limits.
The homepage number. Fera’s site says “Rated 4.9 / 5 by thousands of merchants” and “4.95 out of 5 stars” across Shopify, Wix, and BigCommerce. The Shopify figure is 4.8; treat the higher ones as Fera’s own blend.
How does Fera compare with Judge.me, Loox, and WiserReview?
Fera sits between Judge.me’s free plan and Loox’s $49.99 paid tier on price, and it’s the only one of the four that meters both requests and orders on Shopify.
| App | Free plan | Paid entry | What the meter counts | Platforms | Shopify rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fera | No, 60-day trial | $9 (100 requests) | Requests and orders, plus storage | Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce, Magento, custom (from $29) | 4.8 (2,027) |
| Judge.me | Yes, unlimited requests | $15 (Awesome) | Flat | Shopify only since January 2026 | 5.0 (46,539) |
| Loox | Yes, up to 500 orders | $49.99 (300 orders, then $50 per 300) | Orders | Shopify | 4.9 (9,542) |
| WiserReview | No, 7-day trial | $9 (100 requests), $19 (1,000) | Requests only, per workspace | Ten platforms at one price | Multi-platform, no single listing |
Judge.me and Loox numbers come from their Shopify listings on the same day. For the wider field, my Shopify product review apps and Wix product reviews apps roundups put Fera next to its neighbours.
Fera's review job, priced by requests alone
Verified product reviews against real orders, photo and video, rich snippets, Google Shopping stars, and Seller Ratings from $9. Pro is $19 for 1,000 requests.
Start Free Trial →Who should use Fera, and who shouldn’t?
Fera fits a Shopify or Wix store under 2,000 orders a month that wants media-first reviews and marketplace imports. It fits less well once the orders cap or platform floor applies.
Fera is a good fit for
- Shopify and Wix stores under 200 orders a month. Startup at $9 carries every widget, Q&A, sync, incentives, and AI moderation.
- Brands that started on Etsy or AliExpress. Imports with source links bring the marketplace reputation to the store.
- Stores that lead with customer photos and video. The media-first widgets and gallery are the product’s best idea.
Look elsewhere if
- You run BigCommerce, Magento, or a custom build. The floor is $29, and multi-platform tools price the same job lower.
- Your orders outrun your requests. The orders cap moves you up a plan the requests meter wouldn’t.
- You need Google Seller Ratings for ads, or a free plan. Fera lists neither.
Where WiserReview fits

WiserReview is my product, so weigh this section accordingly. It does the job Fera does, product reviews collected against real orders and shown on the store, with a single meter and one price on every platform.
What it does: collects reviews by email, SMS, WhatsApp, and QR code, with each send counting as one review request, then displays them in 18 widget types with photo and video on every plan.
Google Shopping product stars, rich snippets, and Google Seller Ratings sync from the $9 Starter plan. AI moderation and AI replies run on every plan, and Pro + AI adds review summaries, smart topics, and product review insights.

It runs on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, Magento, PrestaShop, and headless builds at the same price on each.
Starter is $9 for 100 review requests a month, Pro is $19 for 1,000, and Pro + AI starts at $31, per workspace.
There’s no orders cap and no storage tier, and yearly billing takes 3 months off with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
What Fera keeps: loyalty-point and cash-back incentives through partner apps, Etsy and AliExpress imports, and a 60-day trial against WiserReview’s 7 days. A store that leans on those has a reason to stay.
The spec-by-spec version is on WiserReview vs. Fera, and the export-and-import path is in migrate from Fera.
Is Fera worth it?
Yes for a small Shopify or Wix store that wants media-first reviews and marketplace imports at $9 or $29. No for a store that hits the orders cap first.
Buy it on Shopify or Wix if customer photos and video lead your product pages and you sell on a marketplace too. Startup covers a small store; Small removes the branding and adds AI replies.
Model it first if your orders will outrun your requests, if video storage matters, or if you run BigCommerce, Magento, or a custom stack. Put a busy month against both meters before you commit.
Pass if you need a free plan, Google Seller Ratings for ads, or one price across several platforms.
Whichever you choose, treat the usage-limit notifications as billing mail. The August exchange ended with a refund, and it also ended with a store leaving.
Reviews on the page, one number on the bill
Product-page reviews, rich snippets, and Google Shopping stars from $19 a month per workspace. 7-day free trial, 14-day money-back guarantee.

Fera earns its 4.8 on the product: media-first widgets, marketplace imports, and incentives from $9 are more than most apps at that price offer.
What the homepage doesn’t say, the pricing page and the Shopify cards do: two meters, storage by tier, a $29 floor off Shopify and Wix, and no free plan. Read those like a contract, and Fera stays a good buy.
