Yotpo vs NiceJob: Google reviews or product reviews? (2026)

NiceJob grows Google reviews for local service businesses at $75 flat. Yotpo grows product reviews for ecommerce stores at $15-$368. The split that decides it, real 2026 pricing, and the store-side answer that starts at $9.

Yotpo vs NiceJob comparison cover

Yotpo and NiceJob both promise more reviews, and they mean different reviews. Yotpo collects product reviews that live on your store’s product pages. NiceJob collects Google and Facebook reviews that live on a local business’s profiles.

Both are bought by the business itself, which is exactly why the comparison trips people up: a plumber and a Shopify store can type the same search and need opposite tools.

The 2026 versions differ from the old write-ups too: Yotpo shut down its Email and SMS products, and NiceJob now runs as part of Paystone with a two-plan flat price.

I run WiserReview, so I compete with the e-commerce side of this, and I’ll be upfront about that. Numbers below are verified against live pricing pages in August 2026.

Why are these two compared at all

The word “reviews” hides the split, so here’s each tool’s actual job.

Yotpo’s reviews are product reviews

Yotpo collects reviews from people who bought a product and displays them on product pages, in Google Shopping feeds, and under ads as Seller Ratings. The unit of reputation is the product.

It also got narrower recently: in an August 2025 open letter, Yotpo’s CEO announced the shutdown of its Email and SMS products, to be completed by December 31, 2025, as it refocuses on Reviews and Loyalty.

NiceJob’s reviews are your Google profile

NiceJob automates review requests after a job is done, nudges customers until they post on Google or Facebook, and turns the results into website widgets and social content. The unit of reputation is the business.

Its own homepage says it plainly: get more reviews, outrank local competition. The customers’ names are cleaners, contractors, and home-service companies.

The test that settles it

Ask where a new customer checks out. If they read your Google profile before calling, you’re NiceJob’s buyer. If they read reviews on a product page before adding to cart, you’re shopping in Yotpo and WiserReview’s aisle.

Yotpo overview: the e-commerce reviews suite

Yotpo SMS homepage

Yotpo launched in 2011 and remains the biggest reviews platform in DTC e-commerce, claiming 400 million+ reviews collected and 25,000+ loyalty programs, with customers like Brooklinen, Steve Madden, and Princess Polly.

It holds a 4.3 on G2 from about 262 reviews and a 4.7 on the Shopify App Store.

What it does well: the product-review stack. Best-in-category UGC widgets, photo and video collection, Google Shopping stars and Seller Ratings, and the Swell-built loyalty engine on one customer record.

Where it stops: the meter and the buyer line. Photo and video sit on Pro at $169+, loyalty bills separately at $199 to $599, and nothing here manages a Google Business profile or a job-based service workflow.

My Yotpo pricing breakdown covers the module math.

Ideal fit: mid-market e-commerce brands buying reviews and loyalty for their own store.

NiceJob overview: reputation on autopilot for services

NiceJob homepage

NiceJob is a Vancouver-founded reputation marketing tool, part of Paystone since 2021, built for local service businesses: HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, landscaping, and contractors of every kind.

It holds a 4.8 on G2 from about 305 reviews and a 4.9 on Capterra, some of the highest marks in the reputation category.

What it does well: automation and fit. Review requests are sent by email and SMS after each job with smart reminders, and the Stories widget pairs reviews with photos of finished work to create visual testimonials.

The Engage widget adds live social-proof popups, auto-shares positive reviews to Facebook and LinkedIn, and integrates deeply with field-service tools like Jobber, Housecall Pro, and QuickBooks, among 1,000+ apps.

NiceJob pricing page

Pricing stays simple: Reviews at $75 a month flat, Pro at $125 with repeat-business automation, referrals, and AI tools, no contracts, and a 14-day trial without a card.

Where it stops: the store line and a few rough edges. There’s no product-review collection, no product-page rich snippets, and no Google Shopping feed.

Users also report that the hosted review microsite ranks poorly in search, that multi-location management becomes clunky, and that any review funnel that routes unhappy customers to private feedback needs careful design, since Google’s policies prohibit selectively soliciting positive reviews.

Ideal fit: local service businesses that live off their Google profile and referrals.

WiserReview overview: the store’s answer at $9

WiserReview homepage, a product review tool that works across Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace and Ecwid

WiserReview is my product, so judge this section accordingly. It sits on the e-commerce side of today’s split: product reviews for stores, at a price closer to NiceJob’s simplicity than Yotpo’s suite.

What it does: collects reviews by email, SMS, WhatsApp, and QR code against your order data, and displays them in 18+ widgets with photo and video on every plan.

Rich snippets, Google Shopping product stars, and Google seller ratings sync from $9, and AI moderation, sentiment, and auto-translation run on every tier.

WiserReview review management dashboard

It runs on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, Magento, PrestaShop, and headless builds: $9 for 1,000 requests per month, $19 for 3,000, and $31 for 5,000, with the full AI suite.

Spec-by-spec details live on WiserReview vs. NiceJob.

Where it stops: no Google Business profile management, no field-service integrations, no loyalty beyond a $6 referral add-on, and no free plan, just a 7-day trial. Service businesses stay in NiceJob’s aisle.

Ideal fit: e-commerce stores on any platform that want the reviews job done from $9.

The cost of picking the wrong aisle

Each direction of this mistake has an attached bill.

A store buying NiceJob gets a beautiful Google profile and zero stars on its product pages, no rich snippets, and no Shopping feed—the very place where store buyers decide.

A service business buying Yotpo pays ecommerce-suite prices for product-review machinery it can’t use, with no job-based workflow and no Jobber in sight.

The clean splits: service businesses get NiceJob at a flat $75, with its rivals mapped in my alternatives guide. Stores can get product reviews starting at $9 with WiserReview or the full suite from Yotpo.

If you’re on the service side, comparing further, my Podium alternatives roundup covers the messaging-heavy end of that market.

Pricing compared: order meters versus flat and simple

Yotpo meters orders across modules. NiceJob charges a flat fee per location. WiserReview meters review requests. Verified in August 2026.

Yotpo pricing

Plan Cost What you get
Free $0 About 50 orders/month, basic review collection and widgets

Pro (Reviews) $169 to $379/mo Photo and video UGC, customization, syndication
Loyalty add-on $199 to $599/mo Points, referrals, VIP tiers, billed separately

The meter: tiers climb with order volume; overage bills are $0.20 per order; and Reviews plus Loyalty realistically starts around $368 a month.

The cross-aisle check: NiceJob’s $75 buys review automation for one location. For a store, that same job on product pages costs $169+ at Yotpo and $9 to $31 here.

Who should pick which platform?

The review type decides it before any feature list does.

NiceJob is right for

  1. Home-service and local businesses. HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, and contractors living off Google reviews and referrals.
  2. Teams on field-service software. Jobber, Housecall Pro, and QuickBooks integrations fire requests after every job.
  3. Owners who want it automated. Requests, reminders, social posts, and referrals on one $75 flat bill.

Yotpo is right for

  1. Mid-market stores want reviews plus loyalty. The specialist pairing on one customer record.
  2. Visual UGC strategies. The strongest photo and video display in e-commerce.
  3. Google Ads spenders. Seller Ratings and Shopping stars from the same suite.

WiserReview is right for

  1. Stores that want the reviews job at $9. Photo, video, and both Google star types on every plan.
  2. Multi-platform and non-Shopify builds. Ten platforms and headless, month-to-month.
  3. Budget-first e-commerce teams. NiceJob—simple pricing, pointed at product pages instead of profiles.

Wrap up: Google reviews or product reviews?

Yotpo and NiceJob don’t compete; they divide. NiceJob owns the Google-profile side for local services at a flat $ 75 and does it well enough to maintain a 4.8 across hundreds of reviews.

Yotpo owns the product-page side for stores, at suite prices and an order meter. WiserReview covers the same store-side job across 10 platforms, starting at $9.

Local service business: NiceJob, or its rival, One Guide Away. E-commerce store: Yotpo for the suite, WiserReview for the reviews themselves.

Pick the review type first, and the tool picks itself.
