Yotpo vs Maestra: which one replaces your stack? (2026)

Yotpo narrowed to reviews and loyalty. Maestra bundles email, SMS, personalization, and loyalty into one $2,990 platform, and its lead case study replaced Yotpo Loyalty. Here’s what each one replaces, the honest stack math, and the review gap neither covers, verified for 2026.

Yotpo vs Maestra comparison cover

Yotpo and Maestra are compared for a reason that didn’t exist two years ago. Yotpo spent 2025 narrowing its focus to a reviews-plus-loyalty suite, shutting down its Email and SMS products on December 31, 2025.

Maestra sells the opposite approach: one platform for email, SMS, site personalization, and loyalty on a real-time CDP, and its homepage leads with a brand that replaced Klaviyo and Yotpo Loyalty.

So the comparison comes down to two bets. Keep a specialist suite for reviews and loyalty, or consolidate the whole marketing stack and solve reviews separately.

I run WiserReview, so I compete with the review side of this, and I’ll be upfront about that. Numbers are verified against live pricing pages and both companies’ own materials in August 2026.

Quick verdict: Yotpo or Maestra?

Maestra for mid-market brands consolidating email, SMS, personalization, and loyalty into one $2,990 platform. Yotpo for brands that want reviews and loyalty from one specialist. WiserReview for the reviews, either way.

Pick Maestra if you’re replacing a Klaviyo-plus-loyalty-plus-personalization stack, your list justifies $2,990+ a month, and you want a dedicated team running it with you.

Pick Yotpo if reviews and loyalty are the whole job, you’re on Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento, and you’re budgeting $169+ for photo reviews or $199+ for loyalty.

Pick WiserReview if you need the review layer alongside either photo, video, Google stars, or AI moderation, starting at $9 a month across 10 platforms.

Why people compare Yotpo and Maestra

These two aren’t in the same category, and that’s exactly why the comparison exists.

Yotpo narrowed

In an August 2025 open letter, Yotpo’s CEO announced the sunset of its Email and SMS products to refocus on Reviews and Loyalty, to be completed by December 31, 2025, with Attentive and Omnisend as migration partners.

Every Yotpo customer who used those channels had to rebuild part of their stack, and each of them became a shopper on platforms like Maestra.

Maestra consolidates

Maestra pitches a single platform for all e-commerce marketing—email, SMS, on-site personalization, and loyalty—on a single CDP, with the team migrating and running it for you.

Its lead case study is Urban Armor Gear replacing Klaviyo, Yotpo Loyalty, and Frosmo in one move, which Maestra says cut stack costs by about 64%, around $100K a year. Maestra is hunting exactly the customers Yotpo’s shutdown unsettled.

Where the overlap ends

The two products overlap in loyalty and retention marketing, and nowhere else. Yotpo has a reviews product that Maestra completely lacks. Maestra has email, SMS, a CDP, and site personalization that Yotpo no longer sells at all.

Yotpo overview: the reviews-plus-loyalty specialist

Yotpo homepage

Yotpo launched in 2011 and remains the biggest reviews platform in DTC e-commerce, claiming 400 million+ reviews collected and 25,000+ loyalty programs, with customers like Brooklinen, Steve Madden, and Princess Polly.

It holds a 4.3 on G2 from about 262 reviews and a 4.7 on the Shopify App Store.

What it does well: the review-loyalty pairing. Best-in-category UGC widgets, photo and video collection, Google Seller Ratings, and the Swell-built loyalty engine share one customer record.

Where it stops: everything else, on purpose now. No email or SMS campaigns since the shutdown; no CDP; no site personalization; photo and video gated to Pro at $169+; and loyalty billed separately at $199 to $599.

My Yotpo pricing breakdown covers the module math.

Ideal fit: Shopify-first brands that want reviews and loyalty from one specialist vendor.

Maestra overview: the all-in-one consolidator

Maestra homepage

Maestra is an all-in-one marketing platform for mid-market DTC brands, built on Mindbox’s platform and aimed squarely at stack consolidation.

The core is a real-time CDP with unified profiles and identity resolution. On top of it sit campaigns across email, SMS, MMS, RCS, push, and messengers.

Site personalization runs through pop-ups, banners, stories, and surveys, next to product recommendations, quizzes, and a loyalty layer of bonuses, personal discounts, and referrals.

Maestra pricing page

Pricing is a usage-based subscription from $2,990 a month, all-in with no add-ons, billed monthly and cancelable anytime.

Every account gets white-glove service: a dedicated CSM, a shared Slack channel, and weekly calls.

Across about 76 G2 reviews, that support is the thing users praise most consistently.

Where it stops: the floor and the gaps. $2,990 a month is the entry point, there’s no free plan or self-serve trial, the motion is demo-led, and there is no product reviews or UGC feature anywhere in the platform.

Ideal fit: mid-market brands consolidating three or four marketing tools into one managed platform.

WiserReview overview: the review layer for either stack

WiserReview homepage, a product review tool that works across Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace and Ecwid

WiserReview is my product, so judge this section accordingly. It exists for the gap this comparison exposes: Maestra doesn’t do reviews at all, and Yotpo charges suite prices for them.

What it does: collects reviews by email, SMS, WhatsApp, and QR code against your order data, and displays them in 18+ widgets with photo and video on every plan.

Rich snippets and Google seller ratings sync from $9; AI moderation and sentiment run on every tier, and it stays out of your marketing stack’s way, whether that stack is Maestra, Klaviyo, or anything else.

WiserReview review management dashboard

It runs on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, Magento, PrestaShop, and headless builds: $9 for 1,000 requests per month, $19 for 3,000, and $ 31 for 5,000, with the full AI suite.

Where it stops: no loyalty program beyond a $6 referral add-on, no email or SMS campaigns, no CDP, and no free plan, just a 7-day trial. The marketing-platform half of this comparison stays with Maestra or your existing tools.

Ideal fit: stores pairing a marketing platform with a dedicated review layer, rather than buying a suite for the stars.

The reviews gap: what neither bet covers well

Run the stack math, and one line item stands out.

Choose Maestra and get email, SMS, personalization, and loyalty in one $2,990 subscription, with zero review collection. The social proof layer has to come from somewhere else.

Choose Yotpo, and you get reviews and loyalty for about $368 a month, and zero email or SMS. The campaign layer has to come from somewhere else.

The completed stacks: Maestra at $2,990, plus WiserReview at $9, cover marketing, loyalty, and reviews. Yotpo’s $368 pairing still needs a Klaviyo-class platform beside it, which is exactly the tool Maestra replaces.

Loyalty-only buyers weighing lighter options can see how the flat-tier tools stack up in my Smile.io vs Yotpo breakdown.

Pricing compared: modules, all-in, and requests

Yotpo meters orders across separate modules. Maestra sells one usage-based subscription. WiserReview meters review requests. Verified in August 2026.

Yotpo pricing

Plan Cost What you get
Free $0 About 50 orders/month, basic review collection and widgets
Starter (Reviews) $15 to $129/mo Scales with order volume, core widgets, rich snippets
Pro (Reviews) $169 to $379/mo Photo and video UGC, customization, syndication
Loyalty add-on $199 to $599/mo Points, referrals, VIP tiers, billed separately

The meter: tiers climb with order volume, overage bills at $0.20 per order, and Reviews plus Loyalty realistically starts around $368 a month, with no email or SMS product anymore.

Plan Cost What’s included
All-in-one From $2,990/mo CDP, email, SMS, MMS, RCS, push, messengers, pop-ups, recommendations, quizzes, loyalty, analytics

One usage-based subscription with no add-ons, billed monthly from the first campaign launch, cancel anytime.

Every account gets a dedicated CSM, a shared Slack channel, and weekly calls, and the sales motion is demo-led with no free plan or self-serve trial.

WiserReview pricing

Plan Cost What’s included
Starter $9/mo 1,000 review requests, photo and video, widgets, rich snippets, seller ratings
Pro $19/mo 3,000 requests, unlimited published reviews, more video, team seats
Pro + AI $31/mo 5,000 requests, AI replies, sentiment, summaries, translation

Billed by review requests sent; month-to-month with no contract; yearly billing takes 3 months off. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.

The scale test decides it: under roughly $2M a year in revenue, Maestra’s floor is hard to justify. Beyond that, consolidating four tools into one bill starts to beat the sum of the parts.

Who should pick which platform?

The size of the job decides it: whole-stack consolidation points to Maestra, reviews-plus-loyalty to Yotpo, and the review layer itself to WiserReview.

Maestra is right for

  1. Mid-market brands consolidating the stack. Email, SMS, personalization, loyalty, and a CDP replacing three or four vendor bills.
  2. Teams that want it run for them. Dedicated CSM, shared Slack, and weekly calls on every account.
  3. Yotpo email and SMS refugees. The channels Yotpo shut down are Maestra’s core, channels including loyalty

  1. Brands where reviews and loyalty are the whole job. The specialist pairing on one customer record.
  2. Stores under Maestra’s floor. $15 to $368 a month against a $2,990 entry point.
  3. Google Ads spenders. Seller Ratings and the deepest UGC display in the category.

WiserReview is right for

  1. Maestra stores adding reviews. The one layer the platform doesn’t have is the $9 layer, without touching the stack.
  2. Stores leaving the Yotpo suite. Reviews at $9-$31 free the budget for the marketing platform you pick.
  3. Any-platform builds. Ten platforms and headless, month-to-month 7-day trial.

Wrap up: Which one replaces your stack?

Maestra replaces the marketing stack: Klaviyo-class campaigns, personalization, a CDP, and loyalty in one $2,990 subscription with a team attached.

Yotpo replaces the review and loyalty apps at $15 to $368 a month and no longer touches your campaigns at all.

Neither replaces the other, and the honest answer for many mid-market brands is Maestra for marketing with a dedicated review tool beside it.

Consolidating the whole stack: Maestra. Reviews and loyalty from one specialist: Yotpo. The review layer beside either, on any platform: WiserReview from $9.
