Reviews.io vs Vendasta: buy it or resell it? (2026)

Reviews.io sells review collection to the brand itself, priced by monthly invites per domain from $29. Vendasta sells a white-label platform to agencies at $99 to $999 monthly minimums. Who buys which, the real 2026 costs, and the $9 review layer.

Reviews.io vs Vendasta comparison cover with the Reviews.io and Vendasta homepages

Reviews.io and Vendasta both come up when you search for review software, and they sell to opposite sides of the same invoice: a brand buys Reviews.io for itself, while an agency buys Vendasta to resell services to local businesses.

That one difference decides the whole comparison, and old write-ups miss it because both products keep changing shape.

Reviews.io now prices every plan off a monthly invite slider, per domain. Vendasta moved to $0 subscriptions that carry $99-$999 monthly wholesale minimums, with 1-year contracts above the entry tier.

I run WiserReview, so I compete with the review-collection side of this, and I’ll say so wherever it matters.

Every price below was read off the live pricing pages and both companies’ own materials in August 2026.

Quick verdict: Reviews.io or Vendasta?

Reviews.io is for a brand collecting its own product and company reviews. Vendasta is for an agency reselling reputation services to local-business clients.

Pick Vendasta if you run an agency, MSP, or franchise group, you invoice local businesses for marketing and reputation work, and you can clear a $99 to $999 monthly wholesale minimum.

Pick Reviews.io if you’re an ecommerce or service brand that wants verified product and company reviews, Google Seller Ratings, and a Reputation Manager for one domain, from $29 a month.

Pick WiserReview if you want product reviews, rich snippets, and Google Shopping stars on your own store, priced per workspace by monthly review requests: $9 for 100, $19 for 1,000, with no wholesale minimums.

Why are Reviews.io and Vendasta compared at all?

Both sell reputation software, but Reviews.io collects a brand’s own reviews while Vendasta manages reviews for an agency’s clients. The word “reviews” hides the split.

Reviews.io’s reviews belong to the brand

Reviews.io sends invites to people who bought from you, collects product and company reviews with photos and video, and shows them in widgets, Google Shopping, and Seller Ratings. The account holder is the brand.

Its 2026 homepage leads with “Collect reviews. Get found by AI. Sell more.”, and the new AI Presence menu points the whole product at ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity visibility for one business at a time.

Vendasta’s reviews belong to the clients

Vendasta’s Reputation AI sends review requests and NPS surveys on behalf of a local business, auto-replies to Google and Facebook reviews, and monitors 100+ review sites from Yelp to Cars.com.

The business using it is the agency’s client, and the agency bought the product wholesale from Vendasta’s Marketplace to resell under its own brand. Its homepage says it plainly: an AI Workforce “for every local business you serve.”

The invoice test

Look at where your next reputation invoice goes. If you send one to clients for review work, you resell, and Vendasta is built around that margin.

If you pay one to a software vendor for your own reviews, you buy, and Reviews.io or WiserReview is your aisle. I applied the same split to Yotpo vs Vendasta, and it held there too.

Reviews.io overview: reviews, UGC, and surveys for one domain

Reviews.io homepage in August 2026 with the Collect reviews, Get found by AI, Sell more headline

Reviews.io is a product and company review platform that also sells UGC galleries and surveys, now part of the clearer.io family alongside its Influence loyalty product. Its pricing page claims 10,000+ customers.

It holds a 4.7 from 701 reviews on the Shopify listing and shows a 4.8 G2 badge on its homepage. Integrations cover Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Shopware, Klaviyo, Gorgias, and TikTok Shop.

What it does well: collection depth. Review Booster mails past customers, Flows time invites by product or country, video-first campaigns collect video reviews, and Google Seller Ratings, rich snippets, and Google Shopping ratings all ship from the Start-Up plan.

Where it stops: agency resale. Each client domain is a separate subscription at retail price, Branches for multi-location reporting sit on Grow and Plus, and its partner program is a revenue-share directory for service agencies, not a white-label reseller platform.

Ideal fit: a single brand, ecommerce or service, that wants verified reviews plus a Google reputation layer under one login.

Vendasta overview: the platform agencies resell

Vendasta homepage in August 2026 with the Meet the AI Workforce for local businesses hero

Vendasta is a Saskatoon-built platform sold to channel partners: agencies, MSPs, franchise groups, and software vendors that serve local businesses. Its homepage claims 66,000+ partners and 8.2 million local businesses on its Business App client portal.

The partner gets a Partner Center with CRM and pipeline, a wholesale Marketplace of resellable products, Snapshot Report sales audits, and outsourced fulfillment. The client gets a branded Business App where the resold products live.

The 2026 pitch is the AI Workforce: an AI Receptionist, AI Reputation Specialist, AI Sales Assistant, and AI Social Media Manager the agency deploys per client location.

Newer additions include a Vibe app builder and an AI Search Specialist aimed at ChatGPT and Gemini visibility.

Where it stops: the buyer. A business with no clients has nothing to resell, so the minimums buy nothing. There’s no product-review collection against orders, no product-page rich snippets, and no Google Shopping ratings feed.

Ideal fit: agencies and channel partners packaging reputation, listings, and AI services for local clients at wholesale margin.

WiserReview overview: the store’s direct answer

WiserReview homepage, a product review tool that works across Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace and Ecwid

WiserReview is my product, so weigh this section accordingly. For most people searching this pair, the job is simpler than either tool: get verified product reviews working on one store at $19 for 1,000 requests, without a reseller console.

What it does: collects reviews by email, SMS, WhatsApp, and QR code against your order data, with each send counting as one review request.

It then displays them in 18 widget types, nine on Starter and twelve on Pro + AI, with photo and video on every plan.

Google Shopping product stars, rich snippets, and Google seller ratings sync from the $9 Starter plan, and AI moderation and AI replies, including replies to Google Business reviews, run on every plan.

Pro and Pro + AI add credit-based auto-translation, and Pro + AI adds AI review summaries, smart topics, and product review insights.

WiserReview review management dashboard

It runs on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, Magento, PrestaShop, and headless builds.

Starter is $9 for 100 review requests a month, Pro starts at $19 for 1,000, and Pro + AI starts at $31. The spec-by-spec version lives on WiserReview vs. Vendasta.

Where it stops: no white-label client portal, no wholesale marketplace, no listings management, and no loyalty beyond a $6 referral add-on.

Agencies and multi-brand groups run one workspace per client under a single dashboard, each on its own plan. The free door is a 7-day trial only.

Ideal fit: stores on any platform that want the product-review job done from $9 a workspace.

What buying the wrong one costs

Buying the wrong tool here costs a store a minimum it can’t use, and costs an agency a bill that multiplies per client without margin.

A store buying Vendasta pays the $99 platform fee in month one, then needs product spend to offset it, and still has no widget pulling verified reviews onto product pages. The platform assumes a client roster; a store has customers.

An agency buying Reviews.io gets one strong review stack per client domain, with no client portal, no wholesale pricing, and a separate $29 to $500 subscription per top-level domain.

Five clients on Start-Up is roughly $395 to $495 a month, and the multi-store login only arrives on Grow.

A multi-location business buying either sits in the gap. Reviews.io serves it directly but needs Grow at $175 or more for Branches reporting and the Google Business Profile integration.

Vendasta’s own pricing page points multi-location businesses at Premium: a $999 monthly minimum on a 1-year contract.

Agencies whose clients are dentists, contractors, and restaurants rather than stores have closer matchups in tools like Grade.us and NiceJob, which I cover in my Grade.us alternatives roundup.

Pricing compared: invites per domain, spend minimums, and requests

Reviews.io meters monthly invites per domain. Vendasta meters wholesale spend against a minimum. WiserReview meters monthly review requests per workspace, $19 for 1,000. Verified August 2026.

Reviews.io pricing

Reviews.io pricing page with the monthly invite slider set to 1,000 showing Essentials $29, Start-Up $79, Grow $175, and Plus $500

Plan Cost (by monthly invites) What you get
Free $0 25 invites a month, product and company reviews, photo and video, basic widgets
Essentials $29/mo Up to 300 invites, automated collection, 15+ widgets
Start-Up $79 at 1,000 invites, $99 at 1,500 Google Seller Ratings, rich snippets, review importing, third-party collection, Klaviyo, 100 SMS
Grow $175 at 1,000 invites, $299 at 5,000 Reputation Manager, AI review summary, competitor analysis, custom attributes, Branches, contract buyout
Plus $499 to $500/mo, up to 10,000 invites AI replies, translation, customer success manager, shoppable UGC, Bazaarvoice syndication, API

The meter: the pricing plans page prices each tier off an invite slider, every top-level domain is its own subscription, annual billing takes 20% off, and the trial runs 14 days.

Shopify stores also see a separate in-app ladder: Free, Launch at $19 for 50 invites, and Launch Plus at $45 for 500.

Vendasta pricing

Vendasta pricing page in August 2026 showing $0 subscription plans with a $99 monthly minimum and no contract on Starter and a $499 minimum with a 1 year contract on Professional

Plan Cost What’s included
Starter $0 + $99/mo minimum spend, no contract 1 team seat, 10 Snapshot Reports, co-branded portal, sized for fewer than 3 clients
Professional $0 + $499/mo minimum spend, 1-year contract 5 seats, 25 Snapshot Reports, white-label client portal, better wholesale pricing, 3+ clients
Premium $0 + $999/mo minimum spend, 1-year contract 10 seats, 50 Snapshot Reports, multi-location client portal, best wholesale pricing, 6+ clients
Custom Enterprise Custom, activation fee Volume pricing, invoiced billing, priority support, 20+ clients

The subscription reads $0 because of an offset: the pricing page charges the full platform fee in month one, then knocks $1 off the fee for every $1 of qualifying product spend in month two onward.

Miss the minimum and you pay the difference; unused spend doesn’t roll over.

Extra seats run $30, $35, or $65 a month by tier, AI Workforce products are billed per client location, and optional Setup as a Service packages carry an unpublished one-time fee. The 14-day trial needs no card.

WiserReview pricing

Plan Cost What’s included
Starter $9/mo 100 review requests, unlimited published reviews, 20 video reviews, Google Shopping stars, rich snippets, AI moderation and replies, no branding
Pro $19, $29, or $49/mo 1,000, 3,000, or 5,000 requests, 100 video reviews, Q&A, Klaviyo, WATI, Zapier, multi-store sync, auto-translation (credits)
Pro + AI $31, $41, or $61/mo Same request tiers plus AI review summary, smart topics, and product review insights

Billed per workspace, which means per domain, on a monthly review-request meter like Reviews.io’s, month to month, with yearly billing taking 3 months off and a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Each store or brand gets its own workspace and plan under one account, and five or more stores can ask for volume pricing. Every plan opens with a 7-day free trial, and there’s no free plan after it.

The like-for-like check: a store sending 1,000 requests a month with Google Seller Ratings pays $79 at Reviews.io and $19 here.

An agency with five local clients pays Vendasta’s $499 Professional minimum, which turns into resellable product, and has no equivalent at either review tool.

Google reviews or Google stars: which tool does which?

Vendasta grows Google Business Profile reviews for clients. Reviews.io earns Google Seller Ratings and Shopping stars for a brand. WiserReview covers both star types from $9.

Three different Google surfaces get called “Google reviews,” and each tool owns a different one.

Google Business Profile reviews are the stars next to a business on Maps. Vendasta’s Reputation AI requests them, replies to them automatically, and reports on them per client.

Reviews.io connects to them from Grow at $175, through its Reputation Manager and Google Local integration.

WiserReview routes customers there with location review forms and auto-replies to them on every plan, but it doesn’t monitor Yelp, Facebook, and directory reviews the way Vendasta does.

Google Seller Ratings are the stars under a search ad. Reviews.io feeds them from Start-Up at $79, WiserReview feeds them on every plan, and Vendasta doesn’t feed them at all.

The mechanics, and why Trustpilot keeps coming up here, are in my Reviews.io vs Trustpilot comparison.

Google Shopping product ratings are the stars on a product listing. Reviews.io includes the Google Shopping integration from Start-Up, WiserReview includes product-level stars on Starter, and Vendasta has no product feed because it has no product reviews.

Who should pick which platform?

The buyer decides before the features do: resellers choose Vendasta or its rivals, brands choose between the two review tools.

Vendasta is right for

  1. Agencies and MSPs with a local-business roster. White-label portal, wholesale margin, and fulfillment in one Partner Center once you clear $499.
  2. Teams selling AI employees per client. Receptionist, reputation, and sales agents deployed under your brand, billed per location.
  3. Franchise groups and software vendors. The Premium and Enterprise tiers exist for rosters of six clients and up.

Reviews.io is right for

  1. One brand that wants reviews and reputation together. Product reviews, company reviews, and a Reputation Manager under a single login.
  2. Google Ads spenders on one domain. Seller Ratings, rich snippets, and Shopping stars from $79.
  3. Service brands with a few branches. Company reviews from Essentials; Branches reporting and the Google Business Profile integration from Grow.

WiserReview is right for

  1. Stores that want the product-review job at $9. Photo, video, and both Google star types on every plan.
  2. Stores off Shopify. WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, and headless builds get the same feature set.
  3. Anyone priced out of both aisles. No minimums, no contracts, and $19 for 1,000 requests.

Rich snippets and Shopping stars from $9

Wrap up: buy it or resell it?

Reviews.io and Vendasta only look like rivals in search results. One sells review collection to the brand that owns the reviews, from $29 a month per domain.

The other sells an operating system to the agency that resells reputation work, at $99 to $999 monthly minimums, with 1-year contracts once you want the white-label portal.

Buying for your own brand: Reviews.io for reviews plus reputation on one domain, WiserReview from $9 for the product reviews themselves. Building an agency on local clients: Vendasta, with its rivals one guide away.

And if you’re a store that ended up on the resale side by mistake, the way out is short: your reviews come with you.

I keep the steps in my guide to migrate from Reviews.io, and the same import path covers most tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about this topic

Choose by who pays the invoice. Reviews.io is bought by a brand for its own product and company reviews, from $29 a month per domain. Vendasta is bought by agencies and franchise groups that resell reputation services to local businesses, at $99 to $999 monthly wholesale minimums. Stores wanting only product reviews can use WiserReview from $9.
Vendasta lists $0 subscriptions with monthly wholesale minimums: $99 on Starter with no contract, $499 on Professional and $999 on Premium, both on 1-year contracts. The full platform fee is charged in month one, then offset $1 for $1 by qualifying product spend. Extra seats cost $30 to $65 a month, and setup packages are priced separately.
Yes, as a service partner, but each client's top-level domain is a separate Reviews.io subscription at that client's tier, with no wholesale pricing and no white-label client portal. Reviews.io's partner program is a revenue-share directory for agencies that implement it. Agencies that need resale margin and a branded portal are the buyers Vendasta is built for.
No. Vendasta's Reputation AI requests and manages Google, Facebook, and directory reviews for an agency's local-business clients. It has no product-review collection tied to orders, no product-page rich snippets, and no Google Shopping ratings feed. Stores wanting product reviews use Reviews.io from $29 or WiserReview from $9.
It works for a single business, but multi-location reporting costs more. Company reviews and photo collection start on Essentials at $29, while Branches (reviews grouped by location), the Google Business Profile integration, and the Reputation Manager all start on Grow at $175 or more per domain. A business with several separate domains pays for each one.
For a store, WiserReview's $9 Starter plan covers 100 review requests a month with photo and video, Google Shopping stars, rich snippets, and seller ratings, plus unlimited published reviews. Reviews.io's cheapest route to Google Seller Ratings is Launch at $19 inside the Shopify app or Start-Up from $79 on its website. Vendasta doesn't sell either star type.
